Joan and Ron Fryer, of Chestnut Avenue, Chatham, have been nominated for a good carer award.

The couple have cared for disabled children and adults for more than 20 years.

They were put forward by Diane Taylor, who said: “They have supported many families and given love to many disabled people, always giving unparalleled support, often at their own expense.”
