A mum of two who deserves a bit of 'me time' has been nominated for a Pride in Medway Award.
Linda Hubbard, 48, of Lovelace Close, Rainham, has been put forward in the good carer category by her mum Doreen Fry.
Linda juggles night shifts at Medway Maritime Hospital, with caring for her husband Leslie who has multiple sclerosis and her son Thomas, 15, who has Asperger's Syndrome.
Linda, a clinical support worker, also helps to look after her mum, who suffers from spinal stenosis, by taking her shopping every week because she can't carry anything heavy.
Doreen said: "Linda does everything at home - all the housework, the decorating, gardening, cleaning the car.
"As well as looking after everyone, Linda works 12-hour night shifts at the hospital, often without a break. She used her wages to put her elder son Ben, 21, through university and she is now making sure she has money for her younger son.
"Linda really does work hard.
"She puts herself out for everybody. She doesn't get a lot of me time but she copes because she has to and she never complains.
"She deserves a lot of recognition for what she does for everyone.
"It would be nice if she could know how much we all appreciate her."
Doreen, of King Street, Gillingham, hadn't told her daughter about the nomination, so Linda was taken by surprise when she found out.
She said: "That's so nice of my mum to nominate me.
"Things are difficult sometimes but I just get on with it because I have always done it."
