Is this photo finally proof there are big cats in Kent?
Two sisters have what they say is evidence a big cat exists - at least on Sheppey - and they are convinced there is more than one.
Louise Powell and Sally Spencer took this picture of a large paw print at the mud flats in Queenborough. She says she spotted the prints and was examining them when a cat ran behind her.
She said: "I only caught a glimpse of the tail, but my other half said it was the size of a german shepherd. The tail was 's' shaped and it was black.
"The prints were as big as the palm of my hand, and you could see from the depth of the prints that it was something big and heavy that had made them."
Taxi driver Sally also says she spotted the cat in February.
She said: "It was in broad daylight at about 7.45am. It bolted across the road in front of me in Harty Ferry Lane and then it vanished across a field."
Sally said: "The one I spotted recently looks different to the first one I saw, which makes me think there's two.
"I have seen one that is leopard shaped but black, and I saw one in Brielle Way that was slender like a cheetah, which fits in with what Louise said about the tail."
