Fans of "emo" rock band My Chemical Romance staged a protest in London against the Daily Mail’s portrayal of the group.

It comes after the death of 13-year-old Hannah Bond, a pupil at Mascall's School in Paddock Wood, who was a fan of the band.

Her friends believe the media unfairly blamed the "emo" scene for her death, by claiming it glorifies death and self-harm.

An inquest into her death heard that Hannah, who lived in East Peckham, described herself as an emo.

Last week the band posted a message on their website saying their "hearts and thoughts" were with Hannah's family.

More than 100 of the band's supporters from across the country marched across London and demonstrated at the Mail’s offices on Saturday.
