Pub staff held up by masked gunman

DETECTIVES are hunting a masked gunman who threatened staff at a public house before making off with Bank Holiday takings.

The robbery took place at about 11.30pm on Monday as staff at The Woodman, at Goathurst Common, Ide Hill, near Sevenoaks, were preparing to leave.

They were herded into an office and forced to hand over cash before the robber, armed with a pistol, locked them in and fled.

The offender was black, about 5ft 9ins tall and bald. He wore a dark bandana tied across his face and was wearing a black bomber jacket.

Anyone with information should contact Det Sgt Dominic Kilbride on 01732 771055 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
