A TEENAGER arrested after allegedly stabbing another pupil in the head with a pair of scissors has been released on police bail.

The boy was taken into custody on suspicion of actual bodily harm after a girl was injured at The Priory School in Orpington on Monday morning.

She was taken to hospital with a stab wound to the base of her skull - just above her spine - but did not need to be admitted.

Now the boy has been released on police bail until next month while an investigation is carried out into the incident, which happened at about 10.45am.

A Bromley council spokesman said the Tintagel Road school, which has a high number of pupils with learning difficulties, was working closely with police.
