A patrolling police car tried to flag the rider down for a routine check in St Peter’s yesterday afternoon. Repeated attempts to get the rider to stop failed.
A police spokeswoman said: “At times the rider drove onto the pavement, and then along a farm track between Green Lane and Millmead Road. The collision took place in Northdown Hill”
