POLICE have launched an investigation after a 16-year-old was rescued from a quarry.
The teenager had fallen about 10ft into the quarry following an incident with police.
It is understood the boy was in a car which drove away from officers and then hit a parked car in Thames Way, Northfleet, at around 11pm on Tuesday.
Fire crews were then alerted by police to rescue the boy, who had a suspected broken arm and leg, from bushes beside the road.
A fire brigade spokesman said the teenager was given painkillers during the rescue.
Police have so far been unable to confirm whether he was being chased at the time.
