Prestigious Queen's Awards for Enterprise, which recognise businesses' innovation and achievement, have been won by three Kent firms.

Shower designer Aqualisa, from Westerham, calibration instruments firm Transmille, based at Staplehurst, and Rochester bomb clearance business Bactec International are among 27 south east companies receiving awards.

The awards are announced annually on the Queen’s real birthday.
