A MOTORCYCLIST has been killed in a power bike race at the Brands Hatch racing circuit at West Kingsdown.

The 34-year-old man, from Eastbourne in East Sussex, fell from his machine. Medical staff at Brands Hatch attended to him at the scene, but he was pronounced dead on arrival at Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup.

Seven other riders were also came off their machines in the accident on Saturday. Police were also called to the circuit and the incident has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive.
