Thieves escaped with thousands of pounds from a DIY store and used the shop's own tools to crack the safe.
Police are appealing for help to catch burglars who struck at B&Q in Chestfield, near Whitstable between 4pm on Sunday and 6am Monday.
The raiders cut a hole in the fence surrounding the site and it is believed the alarm system had been disabled to allow them access without alerting the security company or the police.
The offenders made off with more than £34,000 in bank notes, loose change and cheques after getting into the store area and using the tools around them in the shop to break into the safe.
The store was closed for business following the robbery to allow officers to gather forensic evidence.
