THE family of teenager Jade Kenyon, who was electrocuted on a railway line in Kent on Monday night say she was a vivacious girl who loved starring in musicals and dancing.
The 17-year-old, from Snodland, died when she fell onto the live rail near North Halling, a few miles from Rochester.
In a statement, her father, Solly, said: “Words cannot express how the family feels at this time. She was a popular student, who studied her A-levels at Holmesdale Technical College at Snodland.
“She was like any other teenager, who loved shopping and spending money. In her spare time she did some modelling shots and was just a beautiful girl.
“Her mum Rachel, identical twin sister Josie and her younger 15-year-old brother Solly and myself are distraught beyond belief.
“We would like to thank those people who have offered their support and kinds words and the police for the support they have given us. We have been inundated with condolence cards reminding us what a wonderful daughter Jade was and that she will never be forgotten."
Police have announced that the funeral will take place on Thursday, June 29.
Police said Jade was in the company of a friend and both girls had taken a short cut after missing their last train and walked along the tracks from Cuxton to North Halling.
British Transport Police are not treating the incident as suspicious. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
