Kent Spitfires' first NatWest Pro40 game of the season against Glamorgan Dragons at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff has been abandoned without a ball bowled.
The umpires made an early decision to call the game off after rain had fallen throughout the day at Sophia Gardens. Both sides take one point each.
The competition is being scrapped at the end of the summer after 41 seasons, but Kent planned to field their strongest side in the the game as a major part of their preparations for the Twenty20 Cup quarter-final against Durham Dynamos at Canterbury on Monday.
More than 5,000 tickets have been now sold for the game, the county's biggest match of the season so far.
