A STOLEN car is being sought by police after it was used to ram-raid a wine merchants.
Police received a report at 4.10am on Wednesday that a white Vauxhall Cavalier had been reversed into the rear of Threshers Wine Merchants in Parkwood Green, Gillingham.
Extensive damage was caused to the shop and despite a prompt arrival and search involving police dogs, officers were unable to locate the car or occupants.
At this stage it is not known if anything has been stolen from the premises.
Detective Sergeant Adam Marshall is asking people to be on the lookout for the car, which has yet to be recovered.
He said: "Often vehicles used in crimes of this nature are abandoned and we are keen to locate this white Vauxhall Cavalier.
"The car would have suffered extensive damage to the rear after being reversed into the building and it is important for people to contact us if they think they may know where it is."
