A TEENAGE rapist who attacked a 16-year-old girl in a park has been named after turning 18.

Adrian Kanty gang-raped the terrified girl together with Geron Miller, 19, and Mohammedet Hassan, 18, in Queens Gardens, Bromley, on April 16, last year.

Kanty, of Coldbath Street, Greenwich, was jailed last month for seven-and-a-half years for rape at Croydon Crown Court and a further eight months at Bromley Youth Court for attempting to pervert the course of justice.

He had written to his girlfriend while he was on remand in prison awaiting trial for rape, urging her to get the victim to withdraw her allegation of the rape.

He will be on licence for five years on his release, meaning he will go back to jail if he commits an offence during that period.

Miller, of Trenholme Road, Anerley, and Mohammedet Hassan, of Concorde Way, Surrey Quays, were both imprisoned indefinitely to protect the public and will be on licence for life.

All three only admitted the rape shortly before their trial was due to start.
