Just over a month ago four-year-old Molly Bubb was a picture of health as she excitedly started school.

Now her parents are planning her funeral after the little girl fell victim to choroid plexus carcinoma – a form of childhood cancer so rare there have only been 15 recorded UK cases in the last 30 years.

“The doctors told us it was incurable and that it was one in a million,” said her father Ashley Bubb, of Woodside Road, Sturry. “Well Molly was one in a million to us.”

Molly was fine until her parents noticed a slight droop at the bottom of her face at the beginning of October.

On October 14, a scan revealed three small tumours on Molly’s brain which grew and spread to her spine.

She died in hospital with her parents Ashley and Kerry and brother Colby, eight, by her side.
