BRANDS Hatch hosts the first two rounds of the BMCRC Nationwide Championship on Saturday and Sunday.

The Mellano Trophy race is a highlight of one of the world's toughest amateur motorcycle racing championships.

This weekend also sees the start of the Champion of Brands series which has been won in the past by many bike sport legends including Barry Sheene and Derek Minter.

There is a full 22-race programme for all classes, including sidecars, and on both days practice will begin at 9am with the first race at 10.30am.

Brands Hatch is off the A20 between Swanley and Wrotham.
