A SHOPKEEPER is offering a £250 reward after smash-and-grab raiders stole motorised scooters from his premises. A number of petrol-driven Miniskoot machines worth £250 each were taken from a window display at Andrews World of Scooters in Northdown Road, Cliftonville, near Margate, early on Sunday morning.

Owner Graeme McKenzie said: “Half a paving slab was thrown through the plate glass window causing damage estimated at £1,500. The scooters are quite unusual and we are the only stockists this side of Maidstone.

“I will offer £250 for information leading to the recovery of the machines or to the conviction of the thieves.”
