Reward on offer after violent assault

A REWARD of up to £3,000 has been offered to anyone who can help police bring to justice people involved in a brutal attack that left a 69-year-old woman battered and bruised.

Two men entered the victim’s home, in Kingswood Road, Bromley, and knocked her to the ground.

They threatened her with a weapon and assaulted her with it causing considerable bruising. They then tied her up before leaving the property with a large quantity of money.

The victim managed to free herself before running to a friend’s house and calling police.

PC Mike Shaw, of Bromley police’s robbery squad, said: "We hope that the reward offered will be an incentive for members of the criminal fraternity to also offer information in relation to these two callous individuals."

Suspect one is described as a white man, aged about 18, about 5ft6in, of slim build, wearing a blue hat, blue jeans, a blue T-shirt and dirty shoes.

Suspect two is described as a white man, aged about 18, about 5ft4in tall, of stocky build, and was wearing a black balaclava over his face.

The attack happend on Saturday, January 27, at about 5pm.
