Emergency crews have been called to a village after a tree fell across the road and hit a car.
Police and fire service are in A229 High Street in Staplehurst trying to clear the huge tree and telegraph poles which are blocking the route.
The road has been closed in both directions between Headcorn Road and Offens Drive.
The issue was first reported around 6pm.
A car has reportedly been damaged.
A spokesman for fire said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports a large tree had fallen into a dangerous position on the A229 in Staplehurst, Maidstone.
“The technical rescue unit and one fire engine attended, and crews used chainsaws to clear the debris from the road.
“No injuries were reported.
“Kent Police also attended to assist with traffic control.”
The same road was blocked almost a week ago (October 12) by the same issue further towards Linton Hill.
A yellow weather warning has been issued to the south east today, with heavy rain expected before the weekend.
Another fallen tree is reported on the M20 London bound between junction 9 and junction 8, with one lane closed.
