AN ACCIDENT involving five cars led to the closure of a main road in the county.

The crash happened on the A25 at Ightham, near Sevenoaks shortly after 4pm on Friday.

A blue Ford Mondeo, a red Peugeot 206, a blue Renault Megane, a silver Ford Focus and a red Renault Espace were the cars involved.

One person suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The road was closed while a number of the cars were removed from the scene.
