KILLER Kenneth Noye has won permission for an inquiry into why he was refused the chance to appeal his murder conviction.
Noye, now 60, was jailed for life in April 2000 for the stabbing of 21-year-old Stephen Cameron, following an argument on a slip road of the M25 at Swanley in May 1996.
An appeal against his conviction was dismissed in 2001, and in 2004 he failed in his bid to challenge his mandatory life term.
In October 2006 the Criminal Cases Review Commission decided not to refer his case back to the Appeal Court.
On Friday at London's High Court, Noye was granted a one-day judicial review hearing into the matter by Lord Justice Richards and Mrs Justice Swift.
