Over-running roadworks which have caused long delays are due to finish tomorrow.
Work at the junction of Station Road and Frindsbury Road, Strood, after an emergency gas escape had been due to finish on Monday.
But the misery for motorists continued this week.
SGN spokesman Dan Brown said: "We’ve completed emergency repairs to our gas network in Frindsbury Road and we’re now working to restore the road surface to its original condition.
"For everyone’s safety, temporary traffic lights remain in place around our site at its junction with Station Road.
"Once the new road surface is completely set, we’ll be able to safely remove our barriers and lights.
"All being well, we expect to be able to clear our site by Friday, January 24.
The work began on Sunday, January 12.
If you smell gas or are concerned about gas safety, please call the National Gas Emergency Number on 0800 111 999.
