Motorists travelling around the county over the next week may want to have a look at the list of planned roadworks scheduled to take place next week.
We have compiled a list of planned roadworks in Kent from Monday, January 28, to Sunday February 3.
The works could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances and all work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
M2 junction 1 to 3 Medway: bridge works
Work to improve safety continues this week on the M2 by undertaking bridge joint replacements.
Currently there is an eastbound junction 2 entry slip road closure in place for 24-hour periods.
This is expected to remain closed until mid-February.
In addition, there is also a 24-hour contraflow will be in place, this is expected to remain in place until early March 2019 when the scheme is expected to be completed.
M2 junction 5 to 7, Faversham: resurfacing
Work to improve the network begin this week on the M2.
There will be a full westbound closure between junction 7 and junction 5 on Monday for four nights between 8pm and 6am.
A clearly signed diversion will be in place via A2, A20 and M20.
M2 junction 4 to 1, Gillingham to Rochester: resurfacing
Work to improve journeys continue this week on the M2.
On Monday there will be full westbound carriageway closure between junctions 3 and 2 for four nights between 8pm and 6am.
On Thursday a clearly signed diversion will be in place via A228, A229 and M20.
M20 junction 3 to 5, Maidstone: smart motorways
Work to improve journeys continues this week on the M20 between junctions 3 and 5.
There are currently narrow lanes and a reduced speed limit of 50mph in place 24-hours a day seven days a week.
On Monday there will be a closure of the westbound entry slip road at junction 5 for five nights between 8pm and 6am.
A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the next available junction.
Free recovery service and speed enforcement remain in place to ensure drivers and road workers safety.
M20 junction 9 to 11 Ashford and Hythe: Junction 10a construction
Work to improve the network continue this week on the M20.
There are currently 24 hour lane closure and 50mph speed restriction in place in both directions between junctions 9 and 11.
This will remain in place until January 2020.
In addition, next Friday there will be a full carriageway closure eastbound between junction 9 and 11, and westbound between junctions 11 and 10 overnight from 8pm through till Monday, February 4 at 6am.
A clearly signed diversion westbound will be in place via M20, A2, M2 and A249. A clearly signed diversion eastbound will be in place via M25, A2, M2, and M20.
M20 junction 9 to 7, Maidstone and Ashford: road surface repairs
Work to improve journeys continue this week on the M20.
On Monday there will a closure of the junction 9 westbound entry slip overnight between 8pm and 6am.
A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the next available junction.
On Friday there will be a full westbound carriageway closures between junction 9 and 8 for two nights between 8pm and 6am.
A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A20.
A2 Darenth: junction improvements
Work to improve the M25 junction 2 roundabout continues this week. As part of these works there is currently a 24 hour weight restriction, 50 mph speed limit, and narrow lanes in place on the eastbound carriageway of the A2 at Darenth.
These will remain in place until March 2019.
A2 Cobham: resurfacing
Works to improve the network continues this week on the A2.
On Monday there will be a closure of the eastbound exit slip road at Marling Cross, and the westbound exit slip road for Cobham services for seven nights between 8pm and 6am.
A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the next available junction.
A21 Westerham: bridge works
Works to improve safety continues this week on the A21 by undertaking deck refurbishments and bridge joint works.
On Friday the southbound exit slip road to the westbound A25 will be closed from 8pm through till Monday, February 4 at 6am.
A clearly signed diversion will be in place via Morleys Road roundabout.
A21 Tonbridge: weakened structure
For the safety of road users there is currently a 50mph speed restriction, and a weight restriction between Philpots Lane overbridge and the junction of London Road A26 in both directions of the A21.
A259 Rye to Brookland: resurfacing
Work to improve journeys continue this week by resurfacing sections of the A259.
There will be a full closure in both directions between Skinners roundabout, Rye, and Brenzett roundabout on Monday for five nights between 8pm and 6am.
A clearly signed diversion will be in place via B2082, A268, B2088, A28, and B2080.
A2070 Ashford: Junction 10a construction
Work to improve the network continue this week on the A2070.
There is currently a contraflow with 40 mph speed restriction in place hour lane closures in place between The Boulevard and the M20 Junction 10.
