DETECTIVES are appealing for information about a robbery at Unwins wine merchants in the high street at Pembury, near Tunbridge Wells.

A man armed with a silver handgun demanded access to the safe but was disturbed by a customer entering the shop. He made off with a wallet belonging to a member of staff.

The man is described as about 5ft 5ins tall. He wore a brown check lumberjack-type shirt/jacket, black three-quarter length trousers, white trainers and a dark-coloured balaclava.
