A BAND of merry men and women will be putting on a show which promises to be a mix of action, romance and slapstick comedy.

Drama group the Borograds will be telling the tale of Nottingham legend Robin Hood, in a play to be staged at Borough Green Village Hall, from Thursday, January 31, to Saturday, February 2.

According to director Linda Hart, no effort has been spared on the costumes and set design, and audiences are promised a traditional pantomime with a few twists and turns added for good measure.

She said: "It is going to be a really good show and everyone has worked really hard on it. There’s lots of action and a few surprises, there is also a bit of romance too."

Tickets, available from Shakti’s newsagent, in the High Street, Borough Green, cost £6.50 and £4 concessions for the Thursday and Friday performance and matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm. Tickets for the Saturday evening performance cost £7.50. Evening show times are at 7.30pm.
