The Eagles will headline this year's Hop Farm Festival, KentOnline can reveal.
It will be the only UK show in 2011 for the 1970s rock band, who have won six Grammys and sold more than 120 million albums worldwide.
The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers and Roxy Music hero Brian Ferry will also play on the main stage on the same day as Eagles.
Also confirmed for the two day festival in Paddock Wood are US folk rock act Death Cab For Cutie and British art rockers 10cc.
A second headliner and acts for the festival's other stages will be announced later this week.
The festival will have four music stages and includes comedy and campsite stages.
Previous headliners include Neil Young, Paul Weller and Bob Dylan.
Festival boss Vince Power said: "I'm really happy to start to announce the Hop Farm's line up, now in it's fourth year.
"After last year's success with Bob Dylan and Mumford and Sons to name but a few of the huge acts, it's my opinion that the Hop Farm is well and truly on the UK festival map and will go from strength to strength as one of the few independent festivals left in the country."
The event takes place on Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2.
Also today, it was revealed The Wanted will perform at Leeds Castle and Sophie Ellis-Bextor will perform at Bedgebury Pinetum as part of the Forestry Commission Live Music concerts.
