A classic rock’n’roll show is being staged in aid of the RSPCA’s East Kent Animal Centre.
One for the Road and This Little Girl - who raised around £2,000 for Thanet Animal Group at a concert earlier this year - appear at the Queen’s Hall, Margate Winter Gardens, on Friday, September 5.
Guitar player Nigel Blackwell said: “We are happy to support charities and the work that the volunteers carry out at East Kent Animal Centre at Woodchurch is vital.
"We hope that people will turn out to support a worthy cause and enjoy a great evening of rock’n’roll music.”
Margate mayor and mayoress Brian and Karen Sullivan will be among the revellers, and it is hoped that the centre’s patron Suzy Gale, wife of North Thanet MP Roger Gale, will join in the fun.
Fellow patron June Brown who plays Dot Cotton in television soap EastEnders has donated a set of signed photographs as a raffle prize as she can’t attend due to work commitments.
Tickets are £8 and are available from East Kent Animal Centre on 01843 826180; The Drome Garage at Manston, 01843 823249; and Barbara Woodrough, 01843 297931.
Audience members are encouraged to get into the swing by dressing in '50s and '60s style.
