ISUZU'S new Rodeo pickup is one of the UK’s best vehicles for towing thanks to an upgrade to its braked towing limit which now stands at 3,000 kg.
The revision affects all Rodeo 3.0 litre 4x4 models in both Single and Double Cab formats including the range-topping lifestyle Denver.
In addition, the action also applies to existing owners who will be contacted and offered revised VIN plates allowing them to benefit from the increase.
Rodeo customers can now choose from a full range of accessories aimed at both the workhorse end of the market and those seeking extra luxury.
For example, a towbar for 4x2 models costs £130 and a Classic Hardtop for a Single Cab retails at £1,310.13 (including VAT but excluding fitting). Other practical items include a bed liner kit for a Double Cab for £195 and tonneau cover for Double Cab at £175.
On the comfort and style side, Isuzu dealers can fit a Smart Nav navigation system for £539.13 and offer a VDO Dayton six CD player at £199.95 (including VAT but excluding fitting).
Also on offer are a chrome side bar and step for a Double Cab at £425 and front bumper style bar for £385 (including VAT but excluding fitting).
On sale since November 2003, the new Rodeo has won praise for its style, space, comfort and torquey 130 PS 3.0 litre diesel engine which is also available with an automatic transmission option.
Standard equipment includes ABS with EBD, twin front airbags and a radio/CD player. Air-conditioning and alloy wheels are part of the topspec Denver package.
From £11,357.02 for the 2.5 litre 4x2 Single Cab (on-the-road but excluding VAT), Rodeos boast 12,000 mile service intervals and 1,000 kg-plus payloads.
