Roll up for Margaret's winter wonderland display

A veritable winter wonderland has been created by Margaret Emery in the porch of her home.

She has collected dozens of ceramic figurines and spends hours decorating them with painstaking meticulousness.

“I want them to be absolutely perfect,” said Mrs Emery, 63, who lives in Bayview Road, Whitstable, with husband Trevor, who runs domestic appliance repair business Wash-Freeze.

“It takes a couple of days for me to display it all and I get great pleasure out of children especially, that come and have a look at it.

“Even adults pass comments on how pretty it looks.”

Grandmother-of-10 Mrs Emery, who is retired, carries out her work on the figures at the Ceramic Supplies studio in Kingsgate, Thanet.
