Goals from Ross Lover, John Guest and Mark Willy ensured Cray Wanderers continued their march up the Ryman League Premier Division table with a 3-0 win at Aveley.
Cray moved up to ninth, despite playing more than half the game on Saturday with 10 men.
Cray leapfrogged Margate who went down 2-1 at Sutton. After a goalless first half the hosts went ahead, but despite Dean Grant levelling for Iain O'Connell's side, the leaders responded to win their seventh of eight games.
Frannie Collin fired a hat-trick as Tonbridge Angels' season finally burst into life with a 7-1 demolition of AFC Hornchurch at Longmead.
Collin put the hosts ahead on four minutes before debutant Claude Seanla made it 2-0 on 34 minutes.
However the visitors pulled one back on 39 minutes only for Chris Piper, Collin and Jamie England to score three goals between them in the next four minutes to make it 5-1 at the interval.
Seanla grabbed his second nine minutes after the break and Angels cruised to an emphatic win with Collin completing his treble in the final minute.
Fellow strugglers Folkestone Invicta picked up a point from a 1-1 draw at home to Concord Rangers.
A rare Jack Delo error gifted the Essex side the lead at the Buzzlines Stadium but Simon Austin drove in a deflected equaliser from 25 yards as Folkestone moved fourth from bottom.
Maidstone United remain mired in the relegation zone after losing 3-1 at home to Carshalton Athletic.
Adrian Stone netted his first of the season for the Stones to draw United level shortly before the break at Homelands, but two second-half goals gave the visitors the points.
