Folkestone Invicta moved back up to fourth place in Ryman League Division 1 South by winning 1-0 at play-off rivals Worthing on Saturday.
A 60th-minute strike by Roland Edge (pictured) proved enough to complete a league double over the Rebels for Neil Cugley's side in a match of two missed penalties.
Jack Delo saved a seventh-minute spot-kick by Worthing's Paul Kennett following Frankie Chappell's foul on Jamie Brotherton, who was later sent off for two yellow cards, and in the 22nd minute Worthing keeper Alan Mansfield was penalised for holding but then saved James Everitt's penalty.
There were three penalties in Maidstone United's 4-1 win at Walton & Hersham which lifted the Stones back level on points with fifth-placed Worthing. Baff Addae and Alex Waugh both scored from the spot for the Stones, with Graeme Purdy firing home a second-half penalty for the Swans. United's other goals came from Sam Bewick and Shaun Welford.
A late header from Craig Thompson earned Hythe Town a 3-2 home victory over Eastbourne Town after the visitors had twice cancelled out strikes from Brendon Cass and Nick Reeves.
Faversham drew 1-1 at Whyteleafe thanks to a 77th-minute equaliser from Dave Botterill but Sittingbourne went down 2-1 at home to Merstham. The visitors led 2-0 before the Brickies pulled one back through a second-half own goal by Rob Carter.
It was a similar story at The Belmont where Whitstable trailed 2-0 at half-time to title-chasing Dulwich Hamlet. Whitstable made a better fist of things in the second half and received some reward with an 81st-minute header from Marc Cumberbatch.
Ramsgate lost by the odd goal in five at Corthinthian-Casuals, with the Rams' goals coming from Warren Schulz (penalty) and Joe Taylor.
In Division 1 North Chatham Town were good value for their their 2-0 home win over Ilford, with both their goals coming in the second half from Lee Hales and Matt Solly.
Thamesmead Town completed a Ryman 1 North double over Potters Bar Town with a 3-0 away victory through goals by Theo Fairweather-Johnson (2) and Jack Hopkins.
But Margate made hard work of beating bottom side Horsham 2-1 in the Premier Division. The Gate's goals were scored in either half by Dean Hill and Tom Bradbrook.
Cray Wanderers leap-frogged Hendon into the final play-off place in the Ryman Premier with a 2-1 victory at East Thurrock thanks to a double strike from Tommy Whitnell, the first from a 24th-minute peanlty after James Darvill was fouled, and the winner from a 70th-minute header.
