In the reverse of their previous week's game in Ryman League Division 1 South, Folkestone Invicta came from 2-0 down with 10-men to snatch a 2-2 draw in the final 20 minutes against Godalming Town on Saturday.

Defender Liam Friend saw red for the hosts for handling on the line after just 15 minutes and despite Jack Delo saving the subsequent penalty, the Surrey side established a 2-0 lead in the five minutes before the break.

However Invicta halved the deficit with a penalty from Stuart King on 72 minutes and Darren Smith snatched the equaliser four minutes from time as Invicta slipped to fourth but stayed four points clear of the play-off-chasing pack.

Maidstone United overcame Burgess Hill Town 1-0 to go a point behind Invicta in a congested top-five, now separated by just five points.

Fifth-placed Stones saw their opponents reduced to 10 before the break and scored the only goal less than a minute into the second half through Ellis Green, though Alex Waugh saw another effort cleared off the line, as United made it six games unbeaten.

Hythe Town put four past Whitstable Town for the second time this season after recording a 4-2 win at Belmont on Saturday.

Brendon Cass opened the scoring for the visitors and Dave Cook made it 2-0 before the break but despite Damian Abel pulling one back against his former club with 22 minutes to go, Ronnie Dolan made it 3-1 three minutes later.

Craig Thompson added the fourth two minutes from time before Abel grabbed a consolation in stoppage-time.

Hythe moved into the top-eight while the Oystermen stay 19th and five points clear of the drop-zone.

Bourne continued to press but it was the hosts who made it 3-1 15 minutes from time and as the visitors continued to seek a comeback in stoppage-time, they were twice caught on the break.

Faversham Town stayed 13th after being held to a 1-1 draw by Eastbourne Town at the Shepherd Neame Stadium.

The visitors opened the scoring midway through the first half but Adrian Stone levelled moments before the break and both teams spurned chances to win it in the second half.

Chatham Town returned to winning ways, recording a 3-1 win over Waltham Forest in Division 1 North.

A Lee Hales penalty on eight minutes set the hosts on their way and Joe Fuller headed the second on 14 minutes.

The visitors pulled one back 17 minutes from time but it took just three minutes for Jack Jeffrey to fire in from a tight angle to seal the win and take the Chats 12th, only nine points off the play-off places.

Town have now alternated wins and losses for the past four games, either scoring or conceding three goals in each.

Thamesmead Town went down 2-1 to Cheshunt courtesy of a 90th-minute penalty.

The visitors took an early lead, only for David Noel to fire a leveller within two minutes, but after both teams missed chances to win it, a spot-kick was awarded for Mead handball in the dying seconds which saw the home side defeated and slip to 14th.
