Whitstable and Corinthian Casuals shared a 2-2 draw in Ryman League Division 1 South
Cray Wanderers played out a goalless draw against Hendon at Hayes Lane in the Ryman League Premier Division on Sunday.
The point left the Wands sixth, a place and three points outside the play-off places.
Margate recorded a 2-0 win at Harrow Borough the previous day thanks to another two goals from red-hot Kwesi Appiah.
Appiah slotted in strike-partner Curtis Robinson's pass after beating the offside trap to open the scoring in the second half before stroking his 24th goal of the season - 12th in the league - from the spot late-on after Robinson was fouled in the box.
The win saw Gate climb over their hosts and up to 14th.
Ramsgate edged past Faversham Town 3-2 in a pulsating Ryman League Division 1 South clash at Southwood which saw the visitors miss two penalties.
Ian Pulman rifled the opener for the Rams against his former club before Danny Twyman saved a penalty from Danny Hockton as Faversham sought an immediate reply.
Hockton got revenge with an equaliser on 36 minutes but when the visitors won a second penalty before the break, Hockton allowed James Peacock to take it, but the defender struck the post.
After the break Hockton finally headed Faversham ahead just after the hour but Ollie Gray headed a leveller inside the final 20 minutes and then nodded home a last-minute Simon Pettit throw to snatch the points in dramatic fashion.
Faversham dropped to 13th, five points behind 10th-placed Ramsgate.
Brendon Cass scored both as Hythe Town collected a 2-1 win at Sittingbourne.
After a goalless first half the visitors took the lead from the spot when Brendon Cass converted a 47th-minute penalty after an Aaron Lacy throw was handled.
Cass headed his second at the second attempt just after the hour after Bourne keeper Matt Read had saved his initial effort and despite Jack Hooper glancing a Brickies reply with 20 minutes remaining, Hythe held on to move 12th.
New-look Whitstable Town allowed a 2-0 lead to slip to 2-2 draw with Corinthian Casuals.
New arrival Damian Abel put the Oystermen 2-0 ahead before the break after Stuart Vahid had opened the scoring at the Belmont.
However the play-off-chasing visitors rallied after the break and secured a point, which left Town three clear of the drop-zone.
Leaders Maidstone United didn't play and slipped to third place on goal difference behind Dulwich Hamlet and Whitehawk.
Chatham Town recorded a nervy 3-2 win at Great Wakering Rovers to seal their first win in six Ryman League Division 1 North games.
Gary Tilley opened the scoring inside two minutes and Jason Barton doubled the advantage on 14 minutes and Jack Jeffrey made it 3-0 after 21 minutes.
However the hosts set up a nervy finale by pulling back a goal nine minutes into the second half and another two minutes from time.
