Police warned motorists to use "extreme caution" after heavy overnight rain caused poor driving conditions in Medway earlier this week.
Medway officers were called to the A228 Grain Road, Lower Stoke, at 12.30am on Tuesday morning following reports that parts of the road were under two feet of water.
Police also sought the advice of Kent Fire and Rescue Service at about 3am, as they had concerns the rising water was reaching a dangerous level for people living in Middle Stoke.
The heavy rainfall also flooded several fields in Upnor.
A field next to the sewage works looked like a swimming pool, as did the nearby Frindsbury Cricket Club pitch and field, appropriately named Frogs Island.
