A KENT police sergeant has issued advice after another satellite navigation system was stolen from a vehicle - this time on a driveway.
It was taken from a blue Fiat Ducato van parked on the drive at a house in Red Hill, Wateringbury, near Maidstone.
The vehicle was parked behind a wall and was thought by the owner to be out of sight. The sat nav system was tucked away between the seats and was also thought to be out of sight.
A briefcase was stolen and the same time. The theft happened between 9.30am and 3.45pm on Tuesday, March 27.
Sgt Alan Burns said alter: "This is another reminder to motorists to think about what they are doing when leaving their vehicle.
"Thieves can find things you think are hidden away and sat navs are very popular items to steal. Be aware that if you have a sat nav bracket on your dashboard it will alert thieves to the fact that there may be a system hidden in the vehicle and criminals know all the hiding places."
Anyone with information about the theft at Wateringbury is asked to contact police on 01732 379217 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
