Margate clinched maximum points at the weekend thanks to an injury-time winner against Kingstonian in Ryman League, Premier Division.
Chris Kinnear’s side had taken a fortuitous lead when Gary MacDonald turned the ball into his own net from Dan Stubbs’ corner.
Kingstonian equalised just before the break when Bobby Traynor scored from the spot after Lawrence Ball had been penalised for a foul in the area.
The visitors dominated the second half but it was Margate who snatched the win when Adam Burchell’s cross was turned home by Kwesi Appiah (pictured).
Cray Wanderers were stung by two penalties in their trip to league leaders Lowestoft Town.
They lost the match 2-1 and had two players sent-off in an ill-disciplined affair.
Lowestoft took a 25th minute lead through a Dale Cockrill penalty but the match was all-square five minutes after the restart with a goal for Lewis Perkins.
Cray then had Allan McLeod sent off following an altercation with a Town substitute and with nine minutes left a foul in the box by Sam Long led to a second Cockrill goal from the spot.
The misery for Cray was complete when Long was dismissed as players clashed following the penalty.
Maidstone were held at home by mid-table Merstham in Division 1 South but remain top of the table.
The Stones had their keeper sent off and also lost Alex Flisher to a nasty injury but snatched a point thanks to Baff Addae’s stoppage time goal.
Kelvin Jack was dismissed for handling outside the area in the first half and Merstham went ahead in the second with a goal from Fabio Savaria.
Maidstone maintained their impressive unbeaten form with a late goal from Addae as the game ended 1-1.
Folkestone Invicta came from behind to win their match at Walton Casuals 4-2.
Glenn Stanley had put the home side ahead after 10 minutes but the scores were level when Darren Smith converted from the spot after a foul on James Everitt.
Smith struck a second after an hour to put Folkestone ahead but Walton levelled through William Adou to make it 2-2.
Neil Cugley’s men took the points though and sit fifth in the table after goals from Ryan Moreby and Stuart King.
Ramsgate were beaten by a single goal on their travels to Dulwich Hamlet.
The home side scored the decisive goal with just three minutes on the clock, through Andre Costa, and despite a fightback in the second half they were unable to restore parity.
Faversham Town and Burgess Hill shared the points at Salters Lane.
The match finished 1-1 and it was strugglers Hill who took the lead when Fred Foreman scored with a free-kick on 38 minutes.
That lead lasted just three minutes as James Peacock’s header from a corner levelled the match.
Hythe let their lead against Walton & Hersham slip and lost late on.
Craig Thompson slotted home the opener for Hythe after just eight minutes but that lead was cancelled out when Dan Morris scored from the spot two minutes later. Pat Kingwell was penalised for a handball.
Thompson scored his second from distance, with a lob over the visiting keeper, but once more he looked on as Hythe conceded again moments later with a goal from Dan Sintim.
Poor defending led to Walton scoring the winner when a clearance fell to Phil Williams and he bagged the winner.
Sittingbourne grabbed maximum points from their away match at Corinthian Casuals, in what was Joe Dowley’s first manager since being handed the management reigns on a permanent basis.
Jamie Nuttall scored the Brickies opener three minutes before the interval while at the other end Casuals’ Scott Hassell hit the post.
The game was sealed in Sittingbourne’s favour from the spot when Joe Goldsmith converted on 66 minutes.
Whitstable ended the afternoon sitting 19th in the table after losing 4-1 at Goldalming.
Adam Foulser put the hosts ahead but the game was level by the break when Stuart Vahid scored a penalty.
Godalming took control in the second half and won with goals from Darren Wheeler, Ben Edwards and Ryan Lake from the spot.
In Division 1 North Chatham Town’s poor form continued as they were beaten 3-2 at home to Enfield Town, despite twice taking the lead.
Chats dominated early on and went ahead with a 20th own goal from Enfield’s Mark Kirby.
Leon Osei levelled with half an hour gone but Chatham went ahead again three minutes later as Jason Barton headed home a corner.
With an hour gone it was 2-2 when Liam Hope scored from the spot and Enfield completed the turnaround when Daniel Ailey headed home late in the game.
Lea Dawson scored the only goal of the game as Thamesmead beat Ilford 1-0. The winning goal came with 60 minutes gone as Dean Standen’s corner was converted by Dawson.
