Would-be Eric Clapton’s and Keith Moon’s can hit the strings and skins at this month’s summer Rock 'N’ Pop School for 11-18-year-olds at King Ethelbert School.
The popular music skills’ event moves to the Birchington school from Clarendon House in Ramsgate due to building work there.
The school from Monday, August 18, is headed up by guitar and bass tutor Simon Pressley and drum tutor Dave Neal, drummer with 1970s rock icon Suzi Quattro.
They will be helped out by Thanet-based national talent competition winners Purity, plus successful song writer Seb Forrest, the first ever helper, will be joining them again.
The school puts young musicians into bands, according to their ability, and they are trained in band skills, techniques, timing, band dynamics and different styles of songs.
They will then perform their work on stage and are awarded certificates.
