Scott Porter chose to remain upbeat after watching Hythe Town miss a host of chances in their 1-1 draw with Corinthian Casuals on Saturday.
The Hythe boss (pictured) admitted: "Yes, it was two points dropped but you get games like that sometimes where the ball just won’t go in.
"Over our last three matches I can’t fault the lads. They’ve been top class in their attitude, in training and in the way they have reacted to what happened on Boxing Day."
Hythe have picked up seven points in their three games since the 8-0 humiliation at Folkestone and three more at lowly Whitstable on Saturday could lift them up to seventh place – their highest position in what is their first season in Ryman League, Division 1 South.
Porter added: "We are in a good position at the minute and I am happy with the way things are going.
"We are better organised now and are starting to get strength in depth in the squad."
Gary Mickelborough will make a quick return to Belmont this weekend and Porter hinted he may also recall Jimmy Dryden after agreeing to loan the striker out to Ashford United last week.
