A pensioner is recovering this morning after seriously injuring her ankle while on board a vessel, 20 miles off the coast of Ramsgate.

A Belgian helicopter airlifted the 75-year-old to hospital at around 2.30am.

She's currently receiving treatment at the Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate.
