This year’s Ward and Partners Children’s Awards promises to end just like every one of the 12 that have gone before – with a great big celebration and presentation event to announce the winners and cheer their outstanding successes.
Once the nomination and judging process is complete later this year, the finalists will be invited to a special event taking place on Friday, October 2.
Held at the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel and this year with a Wild West theme, the luncheon is geared solely to ensuring the winners and their families are made to feel truly special and come away having had a brilliant time.
Alongside the lunch and presentation of awards by Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins, there will be a magician and face painter to entertain everyone. There may even be the odd member of staff in fancy dress too!
Meanwhile, the KM Group will be on hand with a photographer to capture all of those magical moments, which are sure to provide some lovely lasting memories for those involved.
Carol Lynch, chief executive of the Kent Community Foundation which is part of the organising committee, explained: “It’s a really uplifting and enjoyable occasion for the award winners and their families.
“The process is really simple – if you have a friend, family member, neighbour, patient or client who you feel deserves an award you can fill in the form to nominate them.”
