ANOTHER postman has been the victim of thieves while on his rounds in Margate. He was delivering letters in All Saints' Avenue, when he saw two men looking suspiciously at his bike. He shouted at them and one stole the bike and the bag of post on it. The other man ran off.

The bag and some of the letters were later discovered in the stairwell of Arlington House in Margate.

Police have issued a description of one of the thieves. He was white, in his 30s and about 5ft 9ins tall. He was thickset, and was wearing jeans, trainers, and a dark blue or black ski hat.

Little is known about the other man who was wearing a dark puffer jacket.
