Kent County Show got underway on Friday morning in warm sunshine.
Visitors were already pouring into the showground at Detling when the main generator failed at 9am, leaving all traders without power.
But just over 10 minutes later power was restored, allowing visitors to start enjoying the hundreds of stands and attractions.
During the three day show thousands are expected to descend on the showground for the biggest outdoor event in Kent.
They will enjoy livestock shows and countryside pursuits; including fly-fishing, ferret racing, birds of prey, hounds and working Gun Dogs.
The forestry section will feature traditional and modern timber skills, while an agricultural zone called ’Why Farming Matters’ will focus on the importance of farming in Kent.
The event takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Kent Showground, Detling.
