Sell out for Lapland Christmas extravaganza

ONLY weeks after announcing Lapland was coming to the UK for Christmas, entrepreneur Mike Battle is celebrating a sell out.

With family tickets starting at £90, all 35,000 have been snapped up for his Lapland experience at Bedgebury Pinetum, Goudhurst.

More than 20,000 people have already registered online for next year’s snow-filled Christmas extravaganza.

Mr Battle dreamed up the idea after spending several hours and a considerable amount of money taking his wife and children to Lapland for Christmas.

Deciding it would be cheaper and better for the environment to have a similar experience in this country, he is creating a Saami village in the pinetum. Father Christmas will be on hand and visitors will be able to visit his toy shop, enjoy Christmas refreshments and meet reindeer and huskies. Fake Hollywood-style snow will transform the landscape.
