Semi-final spot beckons for county's bowls team

KENT got 11 out of the 12 points available against Hampshire in the Home Counties bowls league on Sunday for a winning score of 262-104.

Hampshire fielded a weak link and Kent took full advantage, boosting their hopes of a semi-final spot.

There were four rinks in action at The Royals, Tunbridge Wells, with Kent winning three and drawing one. Kent enjoyed a clean sweep in the away leg at Basingstoke.

On Saturday, January 20, Kent are back in Liberty Trophy action when they face Somerset in the quarter final at West Berkshire Indoor Bowls Club in Newbury. The winners will face Hampshire or Cornwall.
