PARENTS walking their children to school in Gillingham were shocked to find a man lying on a tennis court wearing only his underwear.

A concerned parent reported the man, who was staring into the sky, to staff at Brompton Westbrook Primary School last Tuesday morning.

Police were called at 9.20am to remove the man from the courts opposite the school in Kings Bastion. Initial reports suggested the man was naked, but after speaking to witnesses Medway Police have confirmed he was wearing pants and a bag.

The man was advised by Medway Police and then escorted by them to his home address.

"All 12 classes at the school have been warned of stranger dangers and a letter has been sent home to parents. Children are not allowed to leave the school unaccompanied."
