DETECTIVES launched an investigation today after a woman in her early 20s was sexually assaulted.

The victim was walking along Crook Log, by Adams Square, in Bexleyheath when a man attacked her from behind.

Police say the incident happened at about 12.30am this morning. They are appealing for witnesses who may have seen or heard anything.
