The future of sport in Medway was shown off to a top politician earlier today.
Conservative MP Jeremy Hunt, shadow minister for culture, media and sport, paid a visit to the Towns and was more than pleased with what he saw.
The MP was given a guided tour of the Black Lion Leisure Centre in Gillingham ahead of work to transform the site into Medway Park, an Olympic training facility for 2012.
Mr Hunt then visited the Medway Messenger newsroom and new multi-media studios at Medway House in Strood.
He said: “Its been a real eye opener. I’m very impressed with what I have seen. The Jumpers Rebound Centre are hoping to train up some Olympic gold medallists and by the look of the facilities here they stand a great chance.”
