A big-hitting 95 by David Masters proved in vain for Lordswood, as Tunbridge Wells brilliantly chased down 312 to beat the Medway side on the last ball in the Kent Cricket League Premier Division.

Chris Piesley (77) and Lyndon Lockhart (62) were also in form as Lords made 312-8 (Evert Bekker 4-76) but, despite John Williams’ 4-57, Wells, led by Alexander Williams (83) and Chris Williams (79 not out) completed an impressive win by four wickets.

There was disappointment for The Mote after their chase ended 30 runs short at home to Sevenoaks Vine. Vine’s Tyler Griffin made 99, before Karl Pearson took centre stage with 5-38 while Caspian Paget’s 67 was the high point of Mote’s 199 all out.

Hartley were left frustrated after Bickley Park held on for a losing draw. Dan Stickels and James Thompson scored half-centuries in Hartley’s 270-8, but Park dug in to finish on 233-6, Paul Clinton top scoring with 45.

Bexley had little trouble chasing down Sibton Park’s 122 (Steve Hickmott 43), reaching their target after 20 overs. Former Kent and England bowler Min Patel showed his class with 4-1, and his team-mate Greg Bain did the rest with an unbeaten 76 for an eight-wicket win.

Blackheath’s 258-8 proved ample as Bromley were dismissed for just 80 in response. Heath’s George Wells top scored with 58 before Jahid Ahmed (4-20) and Ivan Thomas (3-14) made light work of the home side’s batsmen in 24.1 overs.
