A SHEPPEY shop assistant was forced to hand over £400 when an armed robber pointed a gun at her and demanded money.
A man wearing a black balaclava entered the Miramar Chinese take-away restaurant in , High Street, Minster, near Sheerness, on Saturday night. After making his demand and threatening the shop assistant with the gun, the money was handed over.
The robber fled with the money in a red carrier bag. He was last seen turning right out of the shop, going towards Minster Hill.
The man is described as white, aged about 25, about 5ft 8ins tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a black balaclava, a black jacket and dark coloured trousers.
Police hope that witnesses may have seen the man in the High Street before the robbery or as he fled.
